Camp Nanowrimo


So the writing competition that I do every November is now offering a new opportunity to do Nanowrimo, just in the summer. This new opportunity is called Camp Nanowrimo. It is being offered in July and August this year, but the July one is already five days in. You can still sign up but I wouldn’t recommend it if you need all of the days to write. Now you’re probably thinking “Why would anyone be so crazy as to do this for three months? Isn’t one enough?”. Well the answer to that is, I am probably partially insane for doing this, but I find it quite fun. It is also really helpful if you are a nerd and feel like getting all of that creativity hiding in you flowing.

The site for this is http://www.campnanowrimo.org and it is not as good as regular nanowrimo only because it is brand new. I suggest you wait for August version because they say that the full site will be up and running. And if you have friends who would be interested in it you should totally get them to join! Also if you have any extra cash that you feel like donating, they accept tax deductable donations that will help make the site all that much better.

Prom Post 2


So my prom was last night and I must say it lived up to my expectations which means it absolutely SUCKED! Now does that mean all prom’s suck? probably not… see if I had had friends who actually you know cared and weren’t more focused on drama than having fun. Also if the DJ had been good then maybe I would have had a good time and actually have been dancing.

So summery: Prom will be lonely if you don’t make it fun with friends and other things, tell them to forget the drama and shit, just for this one night. Also it will SUCK if you don’t get over your nerves and ask some one even if its just as friends because if they say yes at least you know they won’t leave you alone. And finally REQUEST SONGS YOU want to listen to! Cuz other wise it will be non-stop grinding and grossness, so if you’re not into that, don’t go or have a song list ready to request.

Other than that I hope your prom is better than mine, and I will not be going back next year. not at all.

Stress Week


Alright so this week and next week are my stressful weeks. I’ve been sick for a good part of this week, I’ve got a science club banquet and choir on Saturday, I’ve got confirmation rehersal on Sunday, Confirmation on Monday, A practice AP Exam on Wednesday that’s graded, the actual AP Exam on Friday, and then the SAT’s on Saturday. So what is the point of this? Well one, if I’m not posting that’s why, and two, any suggestions as to how to relieve stress? Because I’m fairly sure that it’s causing all of my stomach problems and that is a problem, because if I miss any more school I will probably fail.

So suggestions would be greatly appreciated. On another note the new Internet Explorer 9 is really freakin’ awesome! Also the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 trailer is being released today. Only 78 days! And http://www.fandango.com is now selling Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides tickets. So I think that’s every thing important, have a good end to April, and all you Script Frenziers keep going you’re almost there!

Inopportune Moments


So who else does not like it when sites go down in the most inopportune time.  The site that’s down right now? http://www.scriptfrenzy.com  why is it an inopportune time?  Because there are approximately 10 days left in the competition and no one can access the site… Now this may be a problem for some who need to update their page count. So should anyone with influence over amazon.com and their bases read this… Fix your problems! Please?

On another note… I’m reading an insanely good fanfiction by Dracosoftie on fanfiction.net. If you would like to read this I warn you that it’s M rated, and it has slash so if you can’t handle guy on guy… don’t read it. And if you’re under the age of… we’ll say 15 at the absolute youngest… DON’T READ IT! Other than that, it’s a Harry Potter fic, it’s drarry, it’s a weasley basher, and I love it. My Weekend


The End of An Era

Hits theaters July 15th

Alright so most of the people reading won’t care but my weekend now consists of Script Frenzy, homework, and sickness. Now that probably sounds pretty horrible but I will say this I’m having the best night right now! Why you ask? Because I’m home alone, eating popcorn for dinner, and having a Harry Potter movie marathon, with no noises, and no obnoxious people to ruin it for me. Does that make me sound like a nerd? I think it does, but I don’t care!

Anyway I hope your weekends are just as awesome as mine is! And to all of those people who are doing Script Frenzy good luck and have fun! And don’t procrastinate nearly as much as I am… it’s not good for you or your scripts.

Oh and by the way Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 comes out on July 15th, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 comes out on DVD on April 15th. I and I’m fairly sure warnerbrothers.com is giving out a discount for pre-ordering the DVD. Also http://www.fandango.com works with http://insiderrewards.warnerbros.com and regal crown club so when you pre-order tickets to the last movie or anyother WB movies you will get points. I suggest you join it saves alot of money! Anyway that is all.

Ignorant, Arrogant People


So I have been a member of the site Sodahead.com (http://www.sodahead.com) for a while and I’ve gotten into many arguements before but this one has officially made my blood boil. So this guy claims that GLSEN is trying to target little children and do horrible things to them… and other stuff. I disagree greatly! And I argued my point being completely civil and using sound reasoning and when I decided that I was done arguing about this and to just let it go because he would not change I tried leaving the conversation. But this guy just kept arguing and he wasn’t supporting it with details at all. Is it so wrong to want clarification as to why a person thinks the way they do? And is it so wrong to want to leave an arguement and be civil about something for once?

Why is it that no one in this world knows what civility means? What is the point to having a word if the concept does not exist in the minds of the people? Should this be changed? Yes it should! People need to learn how to get over themselves and learn that they aren’t the only people in the world. There are others that deserve just as much respect as you do. Don’t let people trample over you, and don’t let people trample over others. It’s not right. Excuse the rant but I’m tired of it, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Script Frenzy


So I have been doing Nanowrimo or national novel writing month for two years now, I started with Script Frenzy however. These are writing competitions that take place during the months of November and April. Now I have never won one of these competitions but they are still fun to participate in. Goodreads


Okay since I’ve been posting on this thing about books recently I might as well post about one of the nerdiest most amazing sites there is. I am a memeber of Goodreads as shown by my Amazing Books page on here and it is one of the most entertaining sites when you are bored and slightly obsessive like me. I spent like three hours last night updating my goodreads because I was bored. So if you want a place to:

  • Keep track of books you’ve read, are currently reading, want to read, or want to buy
  • buy and sell books online
  • get caught up with authors you love
  • get recommendations from friends and authors
  • or share your writing

Get a goodreads account! The site is http://www.goodreads.com it’s simple and free. (However the books that you buy from the site do indeed have to be bought and a few extra fees are tagged on there). I would highly recommend this site, obviously. Prom


Okay so I have been so outspoken about prom since the first day I heard about it. I absolutely did not want to go at all, but my friends all wanted me to go to prom. So what’s the first thing I do when i find myself in the prom dress section of JC Pennies? I buy a $90 dress, and $15 shoes. Yup I caved so now I have a prom dress but no where to wear it to until May.

So was there a point to me buying it now? No of course there wasn’t, except for the fact that it was on sale and it was only $90 when the original price was $130. And the shoes were a $75 pair that I bought for 15. So to all those who are going to prom or something like that I suggest you buy your dresses and accessories now. Because I guaruntee you that you will be hard pressed to find on when it gets closer to the date of your prom. Jury’s still out on whether or not I’ll actually enjoy myself at Prom but hey, at least I didn’t have to spend $500 like some people would and I got relatively a good dress for it.
