Goodreads


Okay since I’ve been posting on this thing about books recently I might as well post about one of the nerdiest most amazing sites there is. I am a memeber of Goodreads as shown by my Amazing Books page on here and it is one of the most entertaining sites when you are bored and slightly obsessive like me. I spent like three hours last night updating my goodreads because I was bored. So if you want a place to:

  • Keep track of books you’ve read, are currently reading, want to read, or want to buy
  • buy and sell books online
  • get caught up with authors you love
  • get recommendations from friends and authors
  • or share your writing

Get a goodreads account! The site is http://www.goodreads.com it’s simple and free. (However the books that you buy from the site do indeed have to be bought and a few extra fees are tagged on there). I would highly recommend this site, obviously. City of Fallen Angels


So Cassandra Clare has just announced that Barnes and Noble has agreed to make a Special Edition of her new book City of Fallen Angels. This new book is the fourth book in the Mortal Instruments Series. She has also said that she might come out with a short story that connects the time gap between City of Glass and City of Fallen Angels. Book Contest!


So Maggie Stiefvater is doing this contest where she’s giving away some of her books that she wants to get rid of and I really kind of want them, but she’s making us post a link to her blog. So what better place to post than here.

Tortall and Other Lands Post 1


Tortall and Other Lands by Tamora Pierce, a short story collection

So I just got this book that I’ve been waiting for for a while now and I’m TOTALLY EXCITED TO READ IT! This book is a short story collection by Tamora Pierce about an awesome Universe that she created and the characters in it. My advice however is that before you read it you should read her other books. Now I’m assuming a complete list is needed well here are some websites you could find that on:

If my favorites are The Immortals series, and the Trickster’s couplet. I would suggest at least reading these before you read the new short story collection because there are two stories directly related to those specific series’. Or so it would seem based on the titles and the description, I shall check back once I’ve actually read them.

Old Kids TV Shows


So my friend and I were bored and she was playing her Yu-Gi-Oh video game and I was watching Pokemon on Boomerang. Of course this led to me going to find my old cards for both of the shows. I have discovered that I liked Yu-Gi-Oh much more than Pokemon because I have about 150 Yu-Gi-Oh cards but I only have like 15 Pokemon cards. So I wonder… How many people like or liked Yu-Gi-Oh over Pokemon?

PS: I’m talking old versions of these tv shows, yes the original versions with only one generation of Pokemon, and when Yu-Gi-Oh wasn’t a GX whatever that is….

Prom


Okay so I have been so outspoken about prom since the first day I heard about it. I absolutely did not want to go at all, but my friends all wanted me to go to prom. So what’s the first thing I do when i find myself in the prom dress section of JC Pennies? I buy a $90 dress, and $15 shoes. Yup I caved so now I have a prom dress but no where to wear it to until May.

So was there a point to me buying it now? No of course there wasn’t, except for the fact that it was on sale and it was only $90 when the original price was $130. And the shoes were a $75 pair that I bought for 15. So to all those who are going to prom or something like that I suggest you buy your dresses and accessories now. Because I guaruntee you that you will be hard pressed to find on when it gets closer to the date of your prom. Jury’s still out on whether or not I’ll actually enjoy myself at Prom but hey, at least I didn’t have to spend $500 like some people would and I got relatively a good dress for it.

So I forgot about this thing for a while and I finally found it again. And have become entertained by it. So this means I might actually use it so if you feel like following it please do. But as you can tell by the title don’t expect much because I’m not a very interesting person.
